АМСТ нь жил бүр Монгол судлалын хурал зохион байгуулсаар 10 дахь жилийнхээ ойтой золгож байна. Энэхүү ойнхоо хурлыг АНУ дахь Монгол Соёлын Төв, Торонто Хотын Монголчуудын Холбоотой хамтран үзүүлэн хурал, монгол дуу, монгол хоол бүхий цогц арга хэмжээ болгон зохиохоор төлөвлөжээ.
Америкийн Ази Судлалын Нийгэмлэгийн (AAS) хуралтай давхцан болдог тус арга хэмжээ нь энэ жил 3 сарын 16-ны Баасан гаригийн орой 7 цагаас Торонтогийн Шератон зочид буудалд эхлэх юм.
Монгол судлаачид илтгэлээ үзүүлэн болгон дэлгэж, санал бодлоо солилцох боломжтой. Хэрэв та илтгэлээ дэлгэхийг хүсвэл baigalmaa@mongoliacenter.org хаягаар танилцуулгаа илгээнэ үү.
Арга хэмжээний үеэр Монгол судлаачдын илтгэлээс гадна Монгол Соёлын Төвийнхөн 1911 оны тусгаар тогтнолын хувьсгалын талаарх нэн ховор гэрэл зургийн үзэсгэлэн гаргаж, дуучин Эрдэнэбатын Саран уран бүтээлээсээ толилуулна.
Монгол Соёлын Төвөөс Канад дахь, ялангуяа Торонтогийн монголчуудыг өргөнөөр оролцоно уу хэмээн урьж байна. Энэ орой монголчуудыгаа монгол хувцсаар гоёж ирэхийг бид уриалж байгаа юм. Хурал, үйл ажиллагааг Ю-Мон ТВ сурвалжилна.

10th Annual Meeting 2012 – Toronto
Reception, Cultural Program and Mongolia Poster Session
Friday March 16, 7:00-10:00pm
Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel, Grand Ballroom West
The ACMS will celebrate its 10th anniversary annual meeting with a reception, cultural program, poster presentation and annual business meeting held in the Grand Ballroom West of the Sheraton Centre Hotel from 7:00-10:00pm on Friday March 16, 2012. The meeting is held in conjunction with the Association of Asian Studies (AAS) annual conference. The ACMS reception and cultural program are free and open to all interested parties.
The cultural program will include Mongolian music and food, and is being organized in conjunction with the Toronto area Mongolian community, and the Mongolia Cultural Center (MCC) in Washington, DC. A poster display highlighting academic research and cultural topics related to Mongolia will be held during the reception. To propose a poster or display for the session, please send a brief abstract or description (no more than 250 words) to Baigalmaa at baigalmaa@mongoliacenter.org before March 1, 2012. Posters and displays will be accepted on a rolling basis.

The reception and poster session are free and open to the public. Mongolian food and drink will be available, along with Mongolian cultural performances. Posters and information tables will be displayed around the ballroom, and poster presenters will be available to discuss their research and cultural work.
ACMS Annual Membership Meeting - 7:30pm-8:00pm

The ACMS annual membership meeting will include an update on ACMS operations and programs with reports by ACMS President Bill Fitzhugh of the Smithsonian and ACMS Executive Director, Charles Krusekopf.

Reception, Cultural Program and Mongolia Poster Session

The American Center for Mongolian Studies (ACMS) is organizing a poster session and reception on topics related to Mongolia to be held on Friday, March 16, 2012, 7:00-10:00pm at the Sheraton Centre Hotel in conjunction with the Association for Asian Studies' annual meeting and the ACMS annual meeting.
Posters or displays on any aspect topic related to Mongolia, Mongolian people or historical subjects related to the Mongols are welcome. All presenters are required to appear at the meeting to discuss their work. Posters and displays may be in either English or Mongolian language, and students and scholars from all countries and fields of study are invited to participate in the poster session and reception. The audience is expected to include students, scholars, and local residents from Mongolia, and members of the community interested in Mongolia.
To propose a poster or display for the session, please send a brief abstract or description (no more than 250 words) to Baigalmaa at baigalmaa@mongoliacenter.org before March 1, 2012. Posters and displays will be accepted on a rolling basis.
You do not need to be registered for the AAS conference to participate, but poster presenters should be a member of the ACMS at the time of the meetings.
